Background: Now a fierce militaristic and Ruthless second in command to the legion master Tace, Riggus was a previously highly feared Resistance leader, who had allied all the disbanded marauder populations to over-throw the supposedly actionist Marauder Hierarchs  and establish a new and improved and united government for his people under his rule. In his early life, Riggus had always been speaking out saying that the marauder people were simply being used by the Hierarchs of their species supreme ruling government. It wasn't until the Hierarchs Imprisoned Riggus for his lack of faith and spreading of rumors, and as soon as this news spread to some of Riggus's followers, riots and shootings started to become recent day after day. Life in imprisonment for Riggus was more life changing and focus extending then he had expected, there he had learned how to be the better and the most feared through intimidation and physical discipline. After he was released from his imprisonment, Riggus brought together all of his most loyal followers and formed a resistance group named "The Legion,"  after making examples of local Hierarch troops and force commanders, more and more the Marauder people started to rebel against their leaders and become part of The Legion. The Hierarchs began to release propaganda to convince any marauder civilians that no harm will come to them if they give their support to their supreme government. Even with all the losses Riggus's resistance was taking he kept going to see to it that he see the Hierarchs be crushed by his newfound strength. Before the arrival of the Liaison class expeditionary vessel "Mother Earth" Commanded by Admiral Lloyd Garrison of the EDF, Riggus had initiated a major offensive against the hierarchs most highly fortified Fortress, Yukasan, which was also where he was imprisoned. The fortresses defenses proved worthy enough a challenge for Riggus and his forces, but were still no match  for the sheer might and force of The Legion. After the fortresses fall, a global offensive had been commenced on the Hierarchs capital city of Tseng. However, when the "Mother Earth" had entered the marauder home worlds orbit and deployed garrisons of ground forces and additional support, the tide of the battle turned significantly for a short time.

The Legions losses were immense.. the total death count out of 10,000,000 forces were diminished to little more then 20,000. But Riggus was determined to achieve victory no matter the cost, no matter the losses, and so did his remaining forces. The Legions final assault against the Hierarchs was absolute, but by the time he had even broke through the defense lines, the Hierarchs had already boarded the Mother Earth along with any marauder civilians, whilst the Hierarchs Marauder Honor Guard, led by Captain Snider O' kel kept The Legion's forces at bay.

With almost no other solution to the continuos fighting, Admiral Lloyd had launched "Option Zero," and the Capital city was demolished in an instant from the Mother Earth's Dark Matter core cannon, "Confession of Eternal Sin," When the rubble had settled, the Captain of the Marauder Honor Guard emerged and claimed victory over The legion. After the claimed victory by the Hierarchs, The remaining supporters of The Legion came aboard the Mother Earth and were tried by the Equality Rights Council. What had become of Rest of the legion forces, consisting of 3/4th's of the marauder population, along with Riggus who had survived somehow, had resided unnoticed in the Wasteland zone of the Mother Earth.

When the sudden appearence of a certain Marauder/Human hybrid and unexpected guest Tace had mad himself known to the Legion after they had established themselves in the wasteland zone had quickly proven himself to be the strongest within The Legion. But Riggus had challenged Tace to see if it were real, or if it were simply just a joke.

Riggus was defeated by Tace and had accepted his fate to die with honor, But Tace spared him, seeing that he could be a very useful ally seeing as how they shared common goals. Thus, Tace had become the Legions Legion master, and quickly re-named his new power "the Marauder Legion," appointing Riggus has his second in command and to lead his campaign against the admirals forces and against the reformed Hierarch Government.
